Aaronic Priesthood

Mason received the Aaronic Priesthood today after church. My family could not be there because all my kids are sick and too contagious to be around all the little cousins, so Cory's parents and Aunt Randi and Uncle John were all the there. The bishop talked for awhile and than he said that at these ordinations the mom gets some time to talk. I was not expecting this I was already pretty emotional but as I looked at Mason I thought of Joseph Smith and when he received this priesthood and I soon realized my emotions were just because Mason is growing up. As for what was to happen, well that was so awesome and that this day was a good day for our oldest son is twelve and in a few moments his dad will lay his hands upon Mason and confer the Aaronic Priesthood. "I'm so proud of you Mason and your choice and your example. We love you so much thank you for being you and always remember this day." Our Bishop asked Mason's grandma if she would say a few things she told Mason that it was the priesthood that made it possible for her to be where she is today, the spirit was so strong in that room. It really was a day we all will remember. I got the best hug I've had in a long time from my 12 year old I'm talking a really good hug. We love you Mason and I love you Cory for your example.
