In the spirit of Thanksgiving I need to take a moment to say thanks.
I had surgery last week and was in bed all week when I say in bed I mean just that completely in bed did not move couldn't move holding still seemed to be the most comfortable.
I was given a blessing from my husband and my brother in law Austin ( I was inspired to call him) it helped me so much so to know that with my faith the power of the priesthood I could have the strength to heal. For that I am Thankful.
I had wonderful friends and neighbors bring over dinners and yummy treats (not that I could taste any of them) but still what kindness. For that I am Thankful.
My sweet husband every minute there for me when I needed him. Propping pillows giving medicine, soup, soup and more soup just so I could take it and than of course the times it didn't stay down holding the wastebasket for me while it came right back up ( yuck I know) All the laundry he did and even though he does it a little differently? I guess if you want to add a red wash cloth to your load of whites after all who doesn't love pink whites. The dishes now that I really didn't miss love ya Cory. For that I am Thankful.
Mom my cute mom brought up some of the funniest DVDs it hurt so bad to laugh but she has always believed you heal with laughter, I agree. For that I am Thankful.
My sister driving and picking up Brooke from dance, Amy and Kelly every day with their kind concern and worry phone calls. (Amy's face was all I needed to see to understand just how swollen I was thanks for your "poker" face Amy, and Kelly just insisted I drank enough fluids he will make a great physical therapist. For that I am Thankful.
My kids they helped their dad they did their homework all week and even some nights I think they showered and brushed their teeth. Kobe said to me one night "I need my mom back" For that I am Thankful.
Lots of hugs and kisses from my nieces and nephews and a long stare from Pearl and more of a frightened face from Kelsey and I cant forget the pictures of zombies from Devin. For that I am Thankful.
My dad even though I did not tell him about it I know how much he loves me. I an Thankful for that.
My best friend in the whole world Nicky climbing in bed with me watching soap opera's she even gave me a ride home from my post opp. visit. For that I am Thankful.
We also got a brand new member to our family my new little nephew Michael. For that I am Thankful.
Just a little surgery that turned out to be a lot harder than we planned but I made it threw with the help and support of family and friends I made it threw okay. I love family I love that our Heavenly Father's plan was to be in a family. I think of all I hold dear in my life and my family and friends are my greatest asset. Happy Thanksgiving Everybody
